TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The hirer of the vehicle shall be responsible for the conduct of all passengers. 1st Heathrow Taxi have the right to refuse carriage to passengers under the influence of alcohol or drugs the actions of which could be considered a danger to the driver and passengers travelling in the vehicle. 2. It is not permitted to carry or consume food or drink in the passenger compartment of the vehicle with the exception of bottled water. 3. In accordance with the law on smoking in public places, smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. 4. Cash, debit & credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment. All quotations issued assume cash payment. We accept UK Pounds (Sterling) when paying with cash. If you wish to pay by credit/debit card you can pay in advance over the telephone. A processing fee of 3% applies when paying with a credit card. Debit cards are free from any extra charge. Due to high transaction fees, we are planning no longer to accept payments by American Express in the future. Please note we no longer accept cheques as payment. 5. Payments for non cash transactions are required at the time of booking and at least 5 working days prior to departure. 6. Unscheduled variations to the agreed times and/or itinerary may incur additional costs. We reserve the right to invoice or charge to the hirers' credit/debit card the additional costs incurred due to the variations to the original schedule. 7. Waiting Time will be charged at £30.00 per hour or part thereof following a reasonable allowance beyond the agreed meeting time. This is usually considered to be one hour after the flight has landed. 8. 1st Heathrow Taxi will not accept responsibility for missed flights for any reason. It is your responsibility to allow enough time when making arrangements to arrive at the airport on time. When making a booking we advise passengers to observe check in times supplied by your airline &and add travel time to arrive as check in opens. Whilst every effort will be made to arrive at the customers address or destination on time, 1st Heathrow Taxi shall not be liable for late arrival or cancellation due to circumstances beyond its control. In the event of unforeseen delays the company will endeavour to contact the hirer by telephone. It shall be the hirers responsibility to allow adequate time to reach their destination. We strongly recommend that travel insurance be taken out where appropriate. 9. Service in London. All London boroughs operate strict rules on parking etc. It is the hirers responsibility to meet his driver at he arranged time. All penalty charges occurred by this not being the case i.e. the driver being forced to wait at inappropriate places, the hirer will be responsible for all such penalty charges and this amount will be charged/added to the hirers/customers payment. 10. All passengers are required by law to wear the seat belts provided in the vehicle. We also request that children & infants travel in an appropriate child restraint whilst travelling in the vehicle. A note on the law and child restraints. The law requires all children travelling in cars to use the correct child restraint until they are either 135cm in height or the age of 12 (which ever they reach first). There are very few exceptions to this, one of which being when in a licensed taxi or private hire vehicle. The law states that if a child restraint is unavailable, a child under 3 can travel unrestrained in the back and children between 3 & 12 must use the vehicle seat belt. This is more for practical reasons rather than from a safety aspect. We do not provide our own seats for children , but we will be happy to offer a store & return service for your own child's seat for your journey to the airport. 11. To cancel a booking you must contact us (please, see the Contacts page) and speak to a member of the team. We will confirm your cancellation once received and credit you with any refund in accordance with our policy below.1st Heathrow Taxi will accept booking cancellations up to 24 hours before the time of travel without incurring cancellation charges. If cancellation is made within 24 hours of the chosen travel time, the full amount will be charged and will not be refundable. No refund will be made for bookings cancelled on the day of travel.Please note: If you are delayed at the airport, make contact with us and we will be happy to wait until you are available to travel (waiting charges may apply). We will confirm your booking by e-mail. It is the customers responsibility to check that booking confirmation details are correct. We will not take any responsibility if the customer fails to check the confirmation details and fails to contact us a day before the travel.12. We do not store credit/debit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

Payment Terms for wedding car bookings

- a deposit of £100 is payable to confirm a booking and the final amount is to be paid fourteen days prior to the wedding. Unfortunately this deposit will be non-refundable in case of cancellation. However we will always do our utmost to accommodate any changes of date

- we are pleased to accept credit cards. Please, note that credit cards will be charged with 3% administration fee, debit cards are free.

FAQ's
1. Why are Wedding Cars more expensive than taxis?There are several answers to this question. Firstly, preparing a wedding car to the exacting standards expected by brides, mothers and other family members is far more demanding than a normal taxi job. A wedding car must be gleaming inside and out in order to look great in the wedding photos and video and to do justice to your day. The ribbons (correct colour of course!) and floral decorations must be prepared and the champagne duly chilled. And after the event he must valet the vehicle again, taking extra care to remove confetti from under the seats and tissues from the seat pockets. The chauffeur must also be immaculate. Even the route needs to be thoroughly prepared and perhaps even a test run undertaken so that the timings are perfect. Generally, we will reserve your chosen car & chauffeur for the whole day - even if you are only paying for a standard 3 hour availability. Your chauffeur cannot take a chance on being delayed by a previous job and arriving late to the most important day of your life! He also cannot attend a job after the wedding as he cannot take a chance that a delay may occur during the wedding itself - bridesmaids cannot be found, guests delayed on their way to the venue etc. You are his only priority on that day. Thirdly, the quality of the car and chauffeur must be taken into account. The cars offered by our company are of the highest calibre and are a considerable investment. There are many cheaper cars available, but a blushing bride in her exquisite bridal gown will need that extra legroom! We will need to know:- Accurate times Our chauffeurs will always arrive ahead of schedule but we need to be clear exactly what time you expect to see them and exactly what time you expect to (1) leave and (2) to arrive - Accurate dates Of course most wedding couples choose a traditional Saturday wedding and that in turn can mean higher prices. Choosing a Friday or a Sunday wedding is one way to keep costs down and also to ensure that the car of your choice is available on that day.- Accurate locations, including postcodesWe do have an encyclopaedic knowledge of most wedding and reception locations in this area but we can still find new ones! Perhaps the reception venue has recently changed its name (perhaps it has a website with full location details?). Perhaps you could check with the vicar exactly where he expects the wedding car to draw up? Is there sufficient parking outside the church for the wedding cars to wait? Do you have a preferred route for the journey - past an old meeting place perhaps?- How many cars and how many journeys would you like?Is the same car to be used to collect other family members? From the same location? Would you like the cars to be colour matched? How many people do you expect to travel in each vehicle?
